Ángel Filgueira and Silvia Fuentes
Ángel Filgueira and Silvia Fuentes will show the first images of Cando toco un animal, a project advised on LAB03. It is a story that reflects the complexity of the sentimental relationships of youth. In their speech, they will show how creativity and the logistics inherent in the development of a film production interact in order to draw up a film project.
Ángel Filgueira (1992) studied Audiovisual Communication at University of Vigo and the Master’s Degree in Research in Artistic and Visual Practices at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. In 2018, he premiered his documentary Sevilla e Gomorra at the Cans and Cineuropa festivals. His short films FIN and El Cuadrado are shown in several editions of Curtocircuito. In 2017, he began writing a screenplay that leads to the film Cando toco un animal. Since 2018 he has been working with the production company Sétima to materialize his first work in fiction. Ángel participated in the LAB Novos Cinemas in 2018, in the VIII Encontro de Artistas Novos da Cidade da Cultura and in the IMPUT of the (S8) Mostra de Cine Periférico of Coruña in 2020.
Silvia Fuentes, Master’s Degree of Executive Production PROA-Blanquerna and Bachelor Degree in Audiovisual Communication at the Universidade de Vigo, finishes her career at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Between 2019 and 2021, she works for the production company Lastor Media. Since 2018, she has worked as an executive producer at Sétima production company, and as production manager in different projects: ¿Qué hicimos mal?, La estación violenta, Matria and Nación. Silvia was also part of the production team for the films Lúa Vermella and Arima.
She currently holds the position of production director on the Isaki Lacuesta Gosa Poder’s project.
