Fuerteventura. After the death of the Cabrera’s family patriarch, his children discover his last will: to receive the inheritance, Alejandro and Julio, their male children who have been fighting each other for years, must walk more than one hundred kilometers in order to offer seven male goats –the most sought-after stallions on the island– to the staunch enemies of their family.
Nacido en 1978 en Gran Canaria, es una de las voces más singulares del cine español actual. David Pantaleón (Gran Canaria, 1978) is one of the most outstanding voices in Spanish cinema nowadays. Graduated in Drama at the School of Actors of the Canary Islands, he made his film debut in 2006 carving out a prolific career in short film with award-winning works that have been screened at festivals such as Rotterdam, Oberhausen (Signis Award for The Passion of Judas), Vila do Conde, Rio de Janeiro, Las Palmas (Best International Short Film with The Painted Calf), Lima Independiente, Alcances, Filmadrid and ALCINE, among many others. Rendir los machos is his first feature film, set to open The New Waves Section in Sevilla.
