Akihiro, a Japanese filmmaker living in Paris, is working on a documentary that commemorates the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. He comes back to Japan to interview the survivors. Deeply moved by the interviews, he decides to take a break. While wandering through the streets of the city, he meets Michiko, a merry and enigmatic young woman.

Jean-Gabriel Périot has directed several short films. He has developed a personal style based on the combination of moving images and archive footage. His films are often experimental, and combine documentary and animation filming techniques. Périot’s works are an invitation to reflect upon violence and history. His films have been on show at major film festivals worldwide, and have been recognized with prestigious awards. His first feature, Une jeunesse allemande, obtained a great success at the Berlinale 2015 and has been screened and awarded at more than 60 film festivals around the world.
